OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1)  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees.  a) On or about 12/22/2022, employees of Walgreen's store #02697, were not warned and provided with instructions on how t identify a damaged and malfunctioning M42BC vertical stockroom baler (SN: 421949BC).  The balers damaged and malfunctioning door latch allowed employees to open and access the moving platen during baling operations.  Feasible means of abatement include performing regular inspections of the baler to ensure all doors and guarding devices are operational and performing repairs if it is determined during the doors and/or guarding devices are not operational.
