29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  a)TJN Enterprises, Inc., dba Yankton Metals, Inc. at 14050 Bill Baggs Road, Yankton, SD 57078: On or about and at times prior to December 28, 2022, the employer did not ensure the electronic safety devices, i.e. door electronic interlock systems, were in place to protect the operator and other employees from the point of operation of the northwestern aluminum baler.  This condition exposed employees to crush-by and amputation hazards associated with the unguarded baler.
