General-duty citation text

29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet above a lower level shall be protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems or fall restraint systems:  (a)	On or before December 21, 2022, the employer did not ensure that employees utilized a fall protection system when working on a section of a new school under construction.  The employee was using a hand-held tool near the edge of the building without utilizing a fall protection system.  This condition exposed the employee to a fall hazard of approximately 26 feet to the ground below.
