29 CFR  1910.1026(d)(2)(i):The employer did not perform initial monitoring to determine the 8-hour TWA exposure for each employee on the basis of a sufficient number of personal breathing zone air samples to accurately characterize full shift exposure on each shift, for each job classification, in each work area expected to have the highest chromium (VI) exposures.  Welding area:  On or about January 19, 2023,  where potential exposure to Chromium VI during stainless steel welding existed, the employer did not perform initial monitoring to determine the 8-hour Time Weighted Average (TWA) exposure to each stainless steel welder.

29 CFR  1910.1026(l)(1)(ii):The employer did not address at least the following hazards with employees exposed to hexavalent chromium: Cancer, eye irritation, and skin sensitization:  Welding area:  On or about January 19, 2023, where welders were exposed to hexavalent chromium during welding on stainless steel, the training provided to workers did not include cancer, eye irritation and skin sensitization.
