OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that, employees such as caretakers were exposed to the hazard of being struck or crushed by trees during felling operations at commercial Farm site.  A)	Cedar Lane Farm DBA CLF Stable, LLC. - 87 Homestead Road, Oldwick NJ 08858  On or about January 26, 2023, an employee was fatally injured when he was manually felling a tree that had a lean. The tree barber chaired during the back cut and struck the employee. Employees that were manually felling trees were not adequately trained to do so safely and were not utilizing proper techniques   to ensure that the tree did not fall on an employee.

Condition noted on January 26, 2023

A) CLF Stable, LLC. - 27 McCann Rd., Tewksbury, NJ 07830: Employees were not trained in the proper selection, care and use of PPE specific to the task of tree fell operations, such as, chainsaw chaps, face shield with mesh, and hard hat.
