29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) JJ&R LLC, 903 Sunflower St, Boulder, CO 80027: On or about 9/19/2022, the employer did not ensure that employees had a safe means to access the upper landing where work was being conducted. The ladder that was used to access the second floor extended only two feet above the surface (determined by seeing only two rungs on the ladder above the surface) being accessed on the second floor 10 feet above the ground. This This exposed employees to fall hazards.
