29 CFR 1910.1030(c)(2)(i):The employer having employees with occupational exposure did not prepare an exposure determination: Company-wide: On or about February 16, 2023, the employer failed to prepare an exposure determination of employees, who were occupationally exposed to blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) during dental procedures, that does the following: a) Identify those specific tasks and procedures where employees regularly or infrequently come into contact with blood and OPIM while passing sharps and needles to the dentist during dental procedures; assisting with suction; discarding contaminated instruments and material; and sterilizing used instruments. b) Identify job descriptions that require those tasks and procedures identified as having occupational exposure, which would have included the Dental Hygienists and Dental Assistants who either regularly or infrequently come into contact with blood and OPIM.

Sterilization Room: On or about February 16, 2023, employees were exposed to bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) hazards when discarding disposable contaminated needles into sharps containers that were located in the Sterilization Room across the hall from the operatory where they were used during dental procedures.
