Employers must ensure that the in-plant transfer, handling, storage, and use of acetylene in cylinders comply with the provisions of CGA Pamphlet G-1-2003 ("Acetylene") (Compressed Gas Association, Inc., 11th ed., 2003).  Maintenance Garage: On or about February 23, 2023, the employer did not ensure that compressed gas cylinders of oxygen and acetylene were stored separately.   CGA Pamphlet G-1-2009  reference to NFPA 55 - Paragraph 6.17.1.2 states that incompatible gases shall be separated according to table 7.1.10.2, indicates that oxidizing gases (oxygen) and flammable gases (acetylene) need to be separated by 20 feet.
