29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13):Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m)  or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems:  On or about February 21, 2023 the employer failed to provide fall protection for employees working at heights in excess of 10 feet while conducting residential framing activities.  Employees were engaged in framing activities applying sheathing to the rafters on a new residential dwelling without any use of fall protection.  Abatement documentation is required for this violation in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:  On or about February 21, 2023 the employer failed to ensure that the ladder used to gain access on the northeast corner of the new residential structure was extended 3 feet past the landing.  The employees were using the ladder to access the new construction rafters to apply roof decking.   Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
