29 CFR  1926.651(i)(2)(iv):  A registered professional engineer did not approve the determination that such excavation work will not pose a hazard to employees:    a) Jobsite, 401 Colfax Street, Springdale, PA 15144:  On or about March 9, 2023, a retaining wall  that was approximately 12 feet high and 40 feet long was removed which exposed a vertical wall of soil behind the wall.   The employer did not obtain approval from a registered professional engineer to ensure that the removal of the retaining wall did not pose a hazard to employees working near the wall.
