29 CFR  1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c).  Location: Jobsite  An employee had not been protected from cave-ins while working in a trench.  On March 15, 2023, an employee was seriously injured while working in an unprotected trench between a large boulder and a straight cut wall, approximately 9 feet deep.
