Powered industrial truck operators shall receive initial training in the following topics, except in topics which the employer can demonstrate are not applicable to safe operation of the truck in the employer's workplace. (i)(J): Any vehicle inspection and maintenance that the operator will be required to perform. a)On or about March 24, 2023, the employer did not ensure that forklift operators were given initial training which addressed inspection and maintenance of forklifts such as but not limited to the Toyota Electric Forklift Truck Model and SN 9BDRU15 -36759 in that employees operated forklifts with damaged tires, exposing employees to struck by injuries.
