Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) New commercial construction located on 11244 Tara Blvd, Hampton, GA 30228, on top plate: On or about 04/19/2023, the employer exposed employees to falls hazards of approximately 18-feet to the lower ground level, in that a fall protection system was not provided to employees engaged in framing activities on the roof of the new structure.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: a) New commercial construction located on 11244 Tara Blvd, Hampton, GA 30228, plate: On or about 04/19/2023, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards approximately 14-feet, 7-inches to lower ground level, in that a ladder with extended side rails at least 3-feet past the roof eave was not provided to employees accessing the plate and ground levels.
