Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure.   a. Located at 5319 Freight Line Way, Plain City: On or about April 19, 2023, the employer did not ensure that employees were protected from fall hazards while performing framing work from the top plate of stud walls, thereby exposing the employees to fall hazards of up to approximately twenty-three feet.

Located at 5319 Freight Line Way, Plain City, Ohio: On or about April 14, 2023, the employer did not maintain an effective safety and health program to ensure that fall hazards were identified and corrected onsite while employees performed residential framing activities from the tops of stud walls and the usage of pneumatic nail guns, thereby exposing the employee to struck-by hazards and fall hazards of up to approximately twenty-three feet.

Located at 5319 Freight Line Way, Plain City: On or about April 14, 2023, the employer failed to train and instruct employees on the recognition of hazards associated with residential framing activities from the top of stud walls and the usage of pneumatic nail guns, thereby exposing the employee to struck-by hazards and fall hazards of up to approximately twenty-three feet.
