Establishment - The following spray booths used at the facility were not equipped with functional gauges to ensure filter efficacy and required air speed was maintained: a. The powder coat booth had damaged, non-functional gauges. b. The spray booth located in the accessory area had damaged, non-functional gauges. c. The spray booth located on the green line had no gauges, audible alarms, or pressure activated devices. d. The spray booth located on the blue line had damaged gauges.

29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function. Establishment - An employee required to wear a North, fitted, half-faced respirator had facial hair that impeded the sealing surface of the facepiece. The employee was observed during paint spraying operations with facial hair interfering with the respirator seal and visible paint breakthrough on the employee's face.
