29 CFR  1910.212(a)(3)(ii):The point of operation of machines whose operation exposes an employee to injury, were not guarded. The guarding device was not in conformity with any appropriate standards therefore, or, in the absence of applicable specific standards, was not so designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of his body in the danger zone during the operating cycle.  On or about, May 10, 2023 employees were operating a press known as press RG-80 with a foot pedal. The point of operation, such as the dies, were not guarded or did not have any other form of protection that would ensure employees could not come into contact with the dies directly or inadvertently while operating the press. Employees were exposed to amputation and crushing hazards.    Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
