29 CFR  1910.269(w)(6)(ii): Before employees begin work in the vicinity of vehicular or pedestrian traffic that may endanger them, the employer shall place warning signs or flags and other traffic-control devices in conspicuous locations to alert and channel approaching traffic.  On or about May 11, 2023, workers were exposed to a struck-by hazard from vehicular traffic while cutting trees  from the edge of the roadway without at least one advance warning sign to warn road users of the work taking place ahead.
