(a)  On or about May 23, 2023, employees conducting roofing work on an existing residential roof with a 6:12 pitch, were not protected from falling to the lower level. This exposed employees to a fall hazard of approximately 18  feet over the house and 9 1/2 feet over the garage of the house.

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(6): Unsecured ladder(s) were used on surfaces that were not stable and level:  (a)  On or about May 23, 2023, employees conducting roofing work on an existing residential roof with a 6:12 pitch, were not protected from falling to the lower level, in-that they were using an aluminum extension ladder place over the garage ridge top to access the second story of the hose roof. This exposed employees to a fall hazard onto the garage roof or to a fall hazard of approximately 9 1/2 feet over the ground below.
