29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts:    On or about May 31, 2023, and at times prior thereto, employees were operating machines that lacked proper guards, including but not limited to the following instances:  1) In the Saw Department, a table cut-off saw operated automatically was not properly guarded to protect employees from contacting the blade while in operation.    2) In the Saw Department, employees were operating a radial arm saw did not have lower blade guards to protect employees from contacting the blade while in operation.  3) At the polishing machine area, an employee operating a polishing machine was exposed to an in-running nip point from a conveyor belt.
