29 CFR  1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes must be free and unobstructed.  No materials or equipment may be placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route.  The exit access must not go through a room that can be locked, such as a bathroom, to reach an exit or exit discharge, nor may it lead into a dead-end corridor.  Stairs or a ramp must be provided where the exit route is not substantially level.   On or about May 02, 2023, the exit doors were obstructed by boxes.  Employees were exposed to fire hazards due to obstructed egress.  Certification of abatement is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR  1910.133(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  On or about May 02, 2023, the employer did not ensure that employees were provided eye protection while using a bandsaw to cut metal rods thus exposing the employees to potential eye injuries from metal particulates.  Certification of abatement is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

On or about May 02, 2023, the employer did not ensure that each powered industrial truck operator had been trained and was competent to operate a powered industrial truck such as a forklift safely.  Employees are exposed to struck-by hazards.  Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR  1910.1200(e)(1): Employer had not developed or implemented a written hazard communication program including  requirements outlined in 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i) and (e)(1)(ii):    On or about May, 2023, the employer did not develop and implement a hazardous communication program for employees who work with hazardous chemicals such as Zep and WD-40.  Employees routinely use Zep and WD-40 to remove rust from bolts.    Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
