29 CFR  1910.303(g)(1):Sufficient access and working space was not provided and maintained about all electric equipment (operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground) to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment:  The employer was failing to protect employees from electrical hazards. This was most recently documented on June 14, 2023, at the USDA facility located at 503 West 7th Street in Atlantic, Iowa. The employer did not allow sufficient space around electrical equipment including but not limited to, the electrical panels in the janitor's closet.

29 CFR  1910.304(b)(3)(i):All 125-volt, single-phase, 15- and 20-ampere receptacles installed in wet locations were not equipped with ground-fault circuit-interrupter protection for personnel.  The employer was failing to protect employees from electrical hazards. This was most recently documented on June 14, 2023, at the USDA facility located at 503 West 7th Street in Atlantic, Iowa. The employer did not install GCFI circuits near wet areas, including but not limited to, the sink areas.  A) 15Amp circuit located in the break room to the left of the sink  B) 15Amp circuit in the soil sample room to the left of the sink
