29 CFR 1926.754(e)(3)(iv): Smoke dome or skylight fixtures that have been installed, are not considered covers for the purpose of this section unless they meet the strength requirements of paragraph (e)(3)(i) of this section, which states that covers for roof and floor openings be capable of supporting, without failure, twice the weight of the employees, equipment and materials that may be imposed on the cover at any one time.  a) On or about June 15, 2023, at the 18412 Matanzas Rd, Fort Myers, FL 33967 jobsite, employees performing roofing work were exposed to 19-foot falls, in that, the skylights could not support twice the weight of the employees working on the roof without failure.
