OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed in the hazard of being struck by fragments of Thermoplastic Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) plastic pipe in the event that the PVC plastic pipe rupture. (a) This violation occurred on or about July 21, 2023 and at times prior thereto; compressed air was being ran through PVC pipe throughout the shop area. The compressed air was being conveyed at pressures between approximately 30-60 psi.
