29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1):  Where a portable ladder was used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigid support that will not deflect, and/or a grasping device was not provided to assist employees in mounting and dismounting the ladder.   At a worksite located at 1307 Southwest Burns Circle, Oak Grove, MO, an employee was exposed to fall hazards.  The employer exposed the employee to these hazards by allowing them to use a ladder that did not extend at least three feet above the surface for which it was used to gain access, nor was it secured to a rigid support with a grasping device provided to assist employees in mounting and dismounting the ladder.

29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles.  At a worksite located at 1307 Southwest Burns Circle, Oak Grove, MO, an employee was exposed to potential eye injuries due to struck by hazards.  The employer exposed the employee to these hazards by allowing them to use a pneumatic nail gun without utilizing appropriate eye protection.  Lopez Framing LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1589732, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 9/20/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 708 SW 3rd Street, Blue Springs, MO 64014.  Lopez Framing LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1587729, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 9/20/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 4708 SW 3rd Street, Blue Springs, MO.
