On or about August 23, 2024, in the warehouse fiber glass cutting area, the employer provided Klein Tools tight fitting, half-mask respirators with Klein P-100 respirator cartridges, for voluntary use by employees while cutting pieces of fiberglass boards for air conditioning units, but did not provide employees with the information in Appendix D of the standard.

29 CFR 1910.134(c)(2)(ii): The employer did not establish and implement those elements of a written program necessary to ensure that any employee using a respirator voluntarily was medically able to use that respirator, and that the respirator was cleaned, stored, and maintained so that its use does not present a health hazard to the user: a.) On or about August 23, 2024, in the warehouse fiber glass cutting area, the employer provided Klein Tools tight fitting, half-mask respirators with Klein P-100 respirator cartridges, for voluntary use by employees while cutting pieces of fiberglass boards for air conditioning units, but had not developed and implemented the required elements of a respiratory protection program for voluntary use such as, but not limited to, ensuring employees were medically qualified to use a respirator.
