29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(15):Ladders were not inspected by a competent person for visible defects on a periodic basis and after an occurrence that could affect their safe use:  a.) At the jobsite, located at 1660 Bunting Lane Sanibel, FL 33957; On or about 7/30/23; the employer exposed employees to fall hazards of approximately 15 ft, in that, an aluminum extension ladder that was utilized and provided for employees, while performing residential home siding replacement operations, was not inspected prior for possible defects to include safe and secured locking pins.

29 CFR  1926.1060(a):The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairways and train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize these hazards.  a.) At the jobsite, located at 1660 Bunting Lane Sanibel, FL 33957; On or about 7/30/23; the employer exposed employees to fall hazards of approximately 15 ft, in that, training in extension ladder safety for potential fall hazards was not provided while performing siding operations on a residential home.
