(a) Stockroom: On about 10/2/2023, an aisleway in the stockroom was measured to be approximately 23 inches wide, with restricted access and egress that exposed employees to an entrapment hazard.  Ocean State Job Lot was previously cited for a violation of this occupational health and safety standard, 29 CFR 1910.136(g)(2), which is contained in OSHA inspection number 1587592, citation number 1, item 1 and was affirmed on a final order on 7/1/2022, with respect to the workplace located at 141 Newport Avenue, Quincy, MA 02170.

(a) Throughout the stockroom: On or about 10/2/2023, boxes of merchandise were stacked and stored in an unstable manner, exposing employees to struck-by hazards from falling boxes.  Ocean State Job Lot was previously cited for a violation of this occupational health and safety standard, 29 CFR 1910.176(b), which is contained in OSHA inspection number 1517930, citation number 1, item 2 and was affirmed on a final order on 5/20/2021, with respect to the workplace located at 150 Highland Avenue, Seekonk, MA 02771.
