29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):  One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  On or about October 5, 2023, employees were exposed to hazards associated with rotating parts when drilling and balancing machined parts and the employer had not ensured machine guarding was provided in the following locations:  a.  The drill press drill and the indexing head were not guarded in cell 5. b.  The drill press drill and the indexing head were not guarded in cell 6. c.  The drill press drill and the indexing head were not guarded in cell 17. d.  The drill press drill and the indexing head were not guarded in cell 23. e.  The indexing head was not guarded in Cell 10.
