29 CFR  1910.134(c)(1): In any workplace where respirators are necessary to protect the health of the employee or whenever respirators are required by the employer, the employer shall establish and implement a written respiratory protection program with worksite-specific procedures:  On or about November 16, 2023, employees were required to wear respirators while using a cleaning solution, containing hydrofluoric acid, to clean walls.  The employer did not establish and implement a written respiratory protection program for these employees.  Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR  1910.151(c): Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use.  On or about November 16, 2023, employees working with hydrofluoric acid were not provided with a suitable facility for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes as the facility provided was not capable of continuous flushing for 15 minutes and does not provide simultaneous flushing.
