29 CFR  1910.1200(e)(1):Employer had not developed or implemented a written hazard communication program included the requirements outlined in 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i) and (e)(1)(ii):   At the hotel, employees engaged in housekeeping activities are exposed to chemical hazards from the instances listed below in that the employer does not have a written hazard communication program to train or provide hazardous information about chemicals the employees use chemicals daily:  1) A container of XCELENTE was found on the storage room. This cleaning agent that causes serious eye irritation, may cause skin and respiratory irritation.  2) A container of HALT was found on the storage room. This disinfectant causes serious eye damage and skin irritation.  3) A container of airlift smoke & odor eliminator was found on the storage room. This causes serious eye irritation and it is a flammable liquid and vapor.

This cleaning agent that causes serious eye irritation, may cause skin and respiratory irritation.  2) A container of HALT was found on the storage room. 29 CFR  1910.132(d)(2):The employer did not verify, through a written certification, the identity of the workplace evaluated, the person certifying that the evaluation had been performed, and the date the hazard assessment was done:  The employer did not certify in writing that a hazard assessment was completed. Employees including, but not limited to, those in the housekeeping department were provided with gloves for personal protective equipment. Safety Data Sheets for housekeeping chemicals requires use of safety goggles for eye protection.
