On or about November 30, 2023, and times prior thereto, three roofers were using pneumatic nail guns without wearing eye or face protection, exposing the employees to the hazard of being struck in the eye(s) by foreign objects or flying projectiles.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b). On or about November 30, 2023, and times prior thereto, three roofers were installing shingles on the roof of a one-story residential house under construction without the use of fall protection, exposing the roofers to the hazard of falling over 6-feet to a lower level.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed. On or about November 30, 2023, and times prior thereto, three roofers were accessing and egressing a roof of a one-story residential house under construction using a ladder that did not extend 3 feet above the roof top, exposing the employees to the hazard of falling over 6-feet to a lower level.
