29 CFR  1926.651(k)(1): Daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were not made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other hazardous conditions.   a) 345 Grand St, Leonia, NJ/Building Rear:  A competent person did not conduct  a daily inspection of an excavation for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, or other hazardous conditions. The spoil pile was not set back two (2) feet from the edge of an excavation, on or about 1/03/2024.                                 b) 345 Grand St, Leonia, NJ/Building Rear:  A competent person did not conduct  a daily inspection of an excavation for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, or other hazardous conditions. The spoil pile was not set back two (2) feet from the edge of an excavation, on or about 1/03/2024,  on or about 1/05/2024.
