29 CFR  1926.850(a): An engineering survey was not performed by a competent person to determine the conditions of the framing floors and walls and the possibility of unplanned collapse of any portion of the structure prior to permitting employees to start demolition operations.  Location: a) Worksite: West wall (Mulberry Street) of building; First floor and basement of building; Sidewalk  a) On or about 1/10/2024, employees performed demolition activities throughout the basement and first floor without an engineering survey. Demolition activities included work such as, but not limited to, removing existing floor wood joists and replacing them with cold form steel and metal decking. A portion of the exterior first floor wall collapsed on to the sidewalk due to demolition activates performed on site.
