29 CFR 1910.243(b)(2): Airhose and hose connections used for conducting compressed air to utilization equipment was not designed for the pressure and service to which they were subjected.  a) Kill floor: On or about January 18, 2024, employees slaughtering cattle were exposed to struck-by hazards due to the use of worm gear hose clamps, that were not rated for pressure, on airlines that supplied compressed air at 60 PSI to hand tools.  Corrected during inspection.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A): Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure:  a) Kill floor sanitizer boxes: On or about January 18, 2024, employees slaughtering cattle were exposed to shock hazards due to flexible cords being used as a substitute for permanent wiring to provide power to sanitizer heating elements.  Corrected during inspection.

29 CFR  1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that tension would not be transmitted to joints or terminal screws:  a) Kill floor sanitizer boxes: On or about January 18, 2024, employees were exposed to shock hazards due to flexible cords being installed through plastic fitting to power heating elements without any form of strain relief where the cords entered the fitting.  Corrected during inspection.
