29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, was not protected by protective helmets.   a) 52 Durham Street, Pompton Lakes NJ:  Employees engaged in the use of an RGC Material Hoist were exposed to overhead impact hazards as rolls of roofing materials were sent to the roof without using any means of head protection. Condition observed on or about 02/08/2024.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):  a) 52 Durham Street, Pompton Lakes NJ:  Employees engaged in roofing activities on a 8 on 12 pitch roof were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 15-20 feet to the ground below as a means of fall protection was not being utilized. Condition observed on or about 02/08/2024.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to upper landing surfaces, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladders were used to gain access.   a) 52 Durham Street, Pompton Lakes NJ:  Employees using a portable extension ladder to access a 8 on 12 pitch roof were exposed to fall hazards as the ladder side rails did not extend 3ft above the upper landing surface. Condition observed on or about 02/08/2024.
