29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2):The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury: a) Worksite was located at 80 Neptune Avenue, Deal, NJ 07723 Workers were doing form work for footings of a single-family new construction home while in an excavation of mostly cohesionless type B soil over six feet deep with no shoring, sidewalls that were benched and no competent person doing inspections. Workers were not trained to recognize these hazards in order to safely avoid them. Violation was identified on February 7, 2024.
