29 CFR  1926.416(a)(1): The employer permitted employees to work in close proximity to energized, unguarded, and ungrounded electric power circuits that the employee could contact in the course of their work:  a. On or about February 21, 2024, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee performing flooring installation operations was permitted to work within close proximity to energized electric circuits, thereby exposing the employee to electrical hazards.

29 CFR  1926.416(e)(1):  Worn or frayed electrical cords or cables were used.  a.  On or about February 21, 2024, at the above addressed jobsite, the Makita JV0600 Jigsaw, that was provided by the employer and being used by an employee to cut flooring material had a damaged power cord, thereby exposing the employee to electrical hazards.  b.  On or about February 21, 2024, at the above addressed jobsite, the Makita JV0600 Jigsaw in use by an employee, was observed being powered with a flexible cord that was visibly damaged, thereby exposing the employee to electrical hazards.
