29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  Location: roof On or about: 2/22/24  a) Employees were installing electrical conduit. The employees were not protected from falling approximately 18 feet, to the ground below.    Location: ladder area On or about: 2/22/24  b) Employees were installing electrical conduit. The employees were not protected from falling approximately 9 feet, to the lower floor.     NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
