29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface, and the ladder's length allowed, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed.  On or about March 6, 2024, employees performed roofing activities using several ladders to access the roof of a residential home that was not extended three feet above the platform.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  On or about March 6, 2023, on the east side, employees performed roofing activities above six (6) without a means of fall protection on a roof with an approximate pitch of 10/12. BLANCO'S ROOFING, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13),  A) This was contained in inspection 1507165 citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on February 8, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 7828 Trailview Drive, GONZALES, LA 70737. B) This was contained in inspection 1518298 citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on May 5, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 1304 St. Charles St., HOUMA, LA 70360. C) This was contained in inspection 1519279 citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on September 30, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 40139 Anna Oak Avenue, GONZALES, LA 70737.
