Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6-feet or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems.   A) 12 Shelly Avenue, Scarsdale - NY: Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 26-feet while engaged in roofing/sheathing work on a structure, without a means of fall protection in place, on or about, March 8th, 2024.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):  Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface to which the ladder is used to gain access:  A) 12 Shelly Avenue, Scarsdale - NY: Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 16 1/2-feet while using an extension ladder to access a roof. The extension ladder that was used, did not extend at least 3 feet above the landing, on or about, March 8th, 2024.
