One or more methods of machine guarding shall be provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc.  On or about March 12, 2024, at an establishment located at 1111 Air Park Road in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, employees of Hypro, Inc. were not provided machine guarding to protect operators and other employees in the machine areas from hazards, such but not limited to:  a)  The employer did not protect employees from an ingoing nip point on a parts conveyor in the east building on RLC3.  b)  The employer did not protect employees from an ingoing nip point on a parts conveyor in the east building on RLC4.  c)  The employer did not protect employees from an exposed auger in the south building on R37.  d)  The employer did not protect employees from a rotating machine part in the north building on machine 295.  e)  The employer did not protect employees from rotating machine parts in the north building on the hobbing machine 412.  f)  The employer did not protect employees from rotating machine parts in the east building on the machine 288 grinder.
