OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fall and struck-by hazards from vehicular traffic:   On or about March 1 6, 2024, employees were exposed to fall and struck-by hazards while performing emergent repair work on an overhead traffic light to prevent it from falling onto vehicles below. Employees working at night from an Elliott  50 aerial lift truck parked in a closed auxiliary turn lane were exposed to potential vehicular traffic while their aerial work platform was temporarily extended over an active traffic lane.  One feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard where the above described work is performed is to close or barricade the area below the bucket and arm of the aerial lift to traffic.
