29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  Location: 5 Tuxedo Lane, Congers, NY  a) On or about March 13, 2024, employees were not using appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles while using a pneumatic nail gun to install shingles on a residential roof.   SST Construction Home Improvement Corp. (formerly JJS Construction & Carpenter Corp) was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard  1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1658207, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/04/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 164 E Eckerson Rd, Nanuet, NY 10977.  SST Construction Home Improvement Corp. (formerly JJS Construction & Carpenter Corp) was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1575293, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 03/03/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 164 Phelps Ave, CRESSKILL, NJ 07626.

29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:  Location: 5 Tuxedo Lane, Congers, NY  a) On or about March 13, 2024, employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 25 feet while using an extension ladder to access the roof to perform roof work. The side rails of the ladder did not extend at least 3 feet above the roof surface.  SST Construction Home Improvement Corp.
