29 CFR  1910.1200(h): Employees were not provided effective information and training as specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1) and -2 on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard was introduced:  a) On March 28, 2024 and at times prior to; employees applied a food grade virucidal disinfectant to farm trucks following the transport of seed potatoes. The employees were not effectively trained to recognize safety and health hazards associated with the product: Sano Quat 4075, manufactured by Shepard Brothers with primary CAS # 68424-85-1 - Quaternary Ammonia compounds, benzyl-C12-16-alkyldimethyl, chlorides (2.0-4.0%) and CAS # 32426-11-2 - 1-Decanaminium, N,N-dimethyl-N-octyl, chloride (2.0-4.0%). Sano Quat 4075 is diluted by and applied by an industrial grade pressure washer manufactured by Landa Cleaning Systems, Customer Part No VHG4-30024B, Model No VHG4-3000B, using an applicator wand with nozzle.   Note* Abatement certification is required for this item.
