29 CFR  1926.852(b):All materials chutes, or sections thereof, at an angle of more than 45 deg. from the horizontal, were not entirely enclosed, except for openings equipped with closures at or about floor level for the insertion of materials. The openings were not exceed 48 inches in height measured along the wall of the chute. At all stories below the top floor, such openings shall were not kept closed when not in use.  a) On or about April 17, 2024, North-East side of the building: employees were exposed to respiratory and struck-by hazards, in that the chutes used to deposit debris and trash were not kept closed when not in use.  b) On or about April 17, 2024,  South-West side of the building: employees were exposed to respiratory and struck-by hazards, in that the chutes used to deposit debris and trash were not kept closed when not in use.
