29 CFR  1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets:  a- 169 Cambridge Boulevard, Swedesboro NJ: A worker and the company worksite Foreman were exposed to head injuries from impact and falling objects when they were not protected by protective helmets or hard hats when performing framing, sheathing, and other activities at the worksite.  Condition observed on or about 04/23/24.  NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   a - 169 Cambridge Boulevard, Swedesboro NJ:  Workers and the company worksite Foreman, engaged in framing, sheathing, and other related activities, were exposed to fall hazards up to and in excess of 12 feet 5 inches to surfaces below, when walking on and working from the unprotected floor edges and the top plates of a residential structure's exterior wall frames without the use of fall protection.  Condition noted  on or about 04/23/24.  IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR  1926.503(a)(2): The employer did not assure that each employee exposed to fall hazards was trained by a competent person qualified in the areas specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii)    a- 169 Cambridge Boulevard, Swedesboro NJ:  Workers and the company worksite Foreman, engaged in framing, sheathing, and other related activities, were exposed to fall hazards up to and in excess of 12 feet 5 inches to surfaces below, when walking on and working from the unprotected floor edges and the top plates of a residential structure's exterior wall frames without the use of fall protection.  These workers had not received fall protection training as specified in 29 CFR 1926.503 (a)(2)(i) through (viii).  Condition noted  on or about 04/23/24.  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.
