29 CFR  1926.652(a)(1):Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with paragraph (b) or (c) of this section:  At the residential construction jobsite located at 13188 Goodman, Overland Park, Kansas, employee(s) were exposed to struck-by and engulfment hazards. The employee(s) were engulfed in a trench cave-in measured at approximately 25 feet in length, 8 feet wide and approximately 7 feet deep without adequate shoring, sloping or benching as a means of protection against trench collapse.
