29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):  One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  On or about May 21, 2024, employees involved in plywood weatherproofing at the Plystack, LLC facility located at 105 N Owen Ave, in Sutton, Nebraska were exposed to amputation hazards when working near the   Plywood Stacker machine in the following two instances:  a.  Four separate chain and sprocket assemblies at the end of the Plywood Stacker Machine chain conveyor are unguarded and present an in-running nip point.  b.  Pallets of plywood roll into metal stops at the end of the Plywood Stacker Machine chain conveyor creating a pinch point where employees apply product labels.
