29 CFR  1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A): Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function:   a) 250 Woodbourne Road, Langhorne, PA (facility): On or about May 20, 2024, the head painter had been using half-face elastomeric respirators as required by the employer, and had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece.   Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR  1910.134(f)(2): Employee(s) using tight-fitting facepiece respirators were not fit tested whenever a different respirator facepiece (size, style, model or make) was used:   a) 250 Woodbourne Road, Langhorne, PA (facility): On or about May 20, 2024, an employee was required and used different respirator facepieces such as, but not limited to, 3M 7193 half face elastomeric & 3M 5300 half face elastomeric respirator during prepping processes, and were not fit tested to the models used nor were they fit tested annually as per this section.   Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
