29 CFR 1910.1000(c): Table Z-3. An employee's exposure to any substance listed in Table Z-3, in any 8-hour work shift of a 40-hour work week, exceeded the 8-hour time weighted average limit given for that substance in the table: a) In the receiving area, on or about June 6, 2024, an employee was exposed to particulates (total dust) at an 8-hour Time-Weighted Average level of 17.2 mg/m3, which is approximately 1.2 times the Permissible Exposure Limit for total dust of 15 mg/m3. The exposure level is derived from a sample collected over a 403 minute sampling period; the calculations include a zero value for the 77 minutes not sampled.

29 CFR 1910.1000(e): Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d): a) In the receiving area, on or about June 6, 2024, the employer did not implement feasible engineering controls or work practices to reduce and maintain employee airborne particulate exposure to or below the permissible exposure limit of 15 milligrams per cubic meter of air for an employee that was exposed to a time-weighted average of 17.2 milligrams per cubic meter of air exposing the employee to a respiratory hazard.
